Looking to get my first tattoo. I would like to get a tattoo of a tattooed woman on my upper arm. I would like the tattoo to be realistic looking, not cartoonish.
I live in the Los Angeles area, and I know there are many artists to chose from, just hoping to get some ideas from people in the know.
I've checked out a number of artists that I really like, Mike DeVries, Tim Hendricks and Chris Garver, but none of them are taking appointments at the current time. I would rather not wait 3-4 months to get the appointment, but I will if I have to.
Any specific recommendations, preferably with contact info (phone, email or best of all, website?), would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

there are a lot of great artists there in LA, but I bet most of the best will be a 2-4 month wait. Check out our custom tattoo artist list to check out everyone we have ont he site from the area, probably 5-8 artists...

sorry, but ya gotta be able to wait for some artists. Others are off the chart on getting an appointment right now (Miami ink fame, etc). I love your first choices, but keep in mind some artists are beter at one style than another. Do your research. Sound slike you need a good fine line pin up style artist. Just don't go too small!
Hey I would really suggest you check Jose Lopez out!
Hes one of the best worldwide. He has worked on Lil' Rob and on Travis Barkers wifes; mom...trust me hes real good! If you wanna see some of his work just go ahead and check him out at joselopezonline.com or on his myspace account. heS under lowrider tattoo worldwide! Trust me his work is right up there with Mr. cartoons' work....
