3 Tattoo Cover Up

Just had a large 3 Tattoo cover up started, it's about 50% complete & christ it hurts like hell. Doesn't seem to be any infection present, just a lot of pain from the heavy black fill in. I had 3 very old (20 Yrs) Tattoos that reached from my wrist to my elbow & I felt like something new. I went for a custom cover up and the artist spent a good hour drawing & re-drawing the basic design before he was happy with it. There were plenty of changes along the way as some things worked well & other touches didn't. The tattoo does indeed look very weird & different. I still can't quite get my head round exactly what it is meant to be, lol.
