3d tatts?

3D tatts...anyone hear of these things? And do you think this is the new wave of tattoos? I would really hate to see conventional tattooing dissipate because of this new trend....(not sure how new it is). I realize it doesnt last that long but its gonna take away from the art as far as I'm concerned. Yeah it is its own artform in its own respect but its still gonna suck to have everyone wanting these things...

i'm less than impressed

simply put ...Tattoos that have foreign objects, usually made of a medically inert material ,implanted subcutaneously (under the skin) to give said tattoo a 3 D or three dimensional effect. This process has been around for years and while kinda neat to look at I don't think the traditional tattoo industry has anything to worry about!!....TAz

I figured it couldn't be that new but definately the first i've seen of it ..in civilized culture anyway. I know that tribes do stuff like that and people get body mods all the time. it looks pretty crazy though..

yeah i've seen the other two on t.v but enigma....dam 22 artists working on him at the same time......that hurts no matter how much yager you guzzle.

I knew a guy that had a trans-dermal implant of a dome shape under his forearm, and there was an 8-ball tattooed above it ( I don't know which one was there first). The looks on the judges faces at Am-Jam were Priceless!!!

those tattoos look crappy ......regardless of being 3-d .
