A&D ointment and lotion

I'm currently on the 3rd day after my tattoo, and have been washing and using A&D ointment as instructed(thin layer about 3 times a day). This morning, I washed and applied A&D before going to work. It's starting to itch and feel dry, so instead of putting more A&D, I decided to go straight to the lotion for some relief. Probably a stupid question, but there's no harm in going to the lotion on the 3rd day, and mixing it right? I haven't washed off the morning application of A&D before going to the lotion.

That's cool....I just got some work done on saturday and I stopped A&D yesterday. The A&D is good to get out any plasma and w/e ink is going to come out right away...that is it's sole purpose besides providing the vitamins to the skin. Once you see that the A&D doesn't get slimy after having it on for a little while, it's time to switch to the lotion. Unscented Lubriderm or Nivea lotions work pretty well. Try to stay away from Aveeno...a lot of their lotions are grainy.
