Adding to my nautical star

I have a nautical star tattoo on my foot and it's just too plain. I want to add to it and make it more unique. I am not very artistic though and I can't figure out a cool design. I would like to add shading and maybe round it out a little, and possibly add more stars and some clouds to lead it onto my toes. Has anyone seen something like this or do you have any good ideas? Thanks!
