All you 14 year olds getting tattoos

Listen, all you 14 year olds getting tattoos.... Here's the deal. Let's put aside for a minute that this is just a flat fucking stupid idea. Let's also put aside the fact that it is illegal in most states, and immoral for anyone to do this to a kid. Let's also put aside for a minute the fact that everyone with more experience than you is telling you not to do this. There is a completely different reason not to do this. If you guys took all the time and energy that you are putting in to trying to find ways to grow up too fast and get around the system, and you just took your time and thought about this for the next 4 years something amazing would happen. Lets say you just committed yourself to the idea of doing this for your 18th birthday, or 21 or whatever. First of all, since you've made a commitment, you'd have a good 4 years to hash and rehash ideas and come up with something great. I'm not talking cherries, a playboy bunny, some teeny tiny flower or something. I'm not talking about a misfits skull, or some little initials or something. That's 4 years to come up with something really great. If you started thinking about it at 14, think about what you could come up with. There is another reason. When you are 14, what have you got? a couple hundred bucks in dope money? Max? Right now, you probably think $250 is a lot of money. But man, in the hands of a good custom artist, that doesn't go very far. And it shouldn't! If you pay a really good custom guy what he deserves, you're gonna need about $1200 to do something really, really sweet that nobody else has. If you started saving even $10 a week when you are 14 just for your tat at 21, what kind of tat would that be? Fucking Killer! That's what! And the best part of all is that after you've saved up a goodly amount of money, and come up with a great design, the incredible custom guy you've chosen won't tell you that he can't do it because it's gonna be a coverup over a pure black stupid fucking tribal that you put on your arm when you were 14 because you couldn't wait to grow up. He's gonna have fresh canvas to do something incredible. Remember dudes, there's only so much prime real estate on the old bod... So listen. I get amazed that these 14 year old tattoo threads go on, and on, and on for like 200 posts. Listen to the old guys. Remember! Don't run down the hill and fuck yourself a cow!!! WALK down the hill, and fuck them all!!! Okay? Be a kid for a while. Go to the fucking movies. Go get an ice cream and work on your design. You are gonna be an adult for a helluva lot longer than you'd like. May as well do your adult time with a really fucking awesome tat!!! Cactus
B.U.M.P! ...Cacti, what's happenin' my man?!
Well, right now, I got my own tat finished up about 3 days ago so I'm in the "crunchy zone" and it's dry, and it hurts from being dry and crunchy and peely, but it'll itch like a bitch soon, so I guess I'm just about where I should be!! (l0l)

Great post. I agree 100%. I was around 14 when I decided I wanted to get a tattoo. But I waited, and now I'm 19 and I still don't have that tattoo. Even though the design I wanted back then is still the same one I want now, I'm really glad I waited. Had I decided to get it back then I probably would have gotten it done by a friend of a friend who did tattoos in his kitchen. It would have turned out like shit and right now I'd be looking to get it covered up or something. But instead I did research and have been saving up so I can afford to get it done by an amazing artist. After all, this is going to be on my body for the rest of my life. I wouldn't want some piece of shit tattoo that everybody laughs at and asks what the hell I was thinking when I got it done.
