Angel Tat

Well I am really trying to narrow down my ideas on the tattoo that I want. I know that I want some sort of angel piece. Most of the art I have been looking through is religious stuff. I am not a very religious person so I am not school in religious art. It also seems that there are toons of cartoony looking angel tattoos out there. Is there anyone who does serious angel pieces. Maybe someone who does great religous art??

Honestly, some of the best angel art is right in your local cemetary. There are some amazing gravestones with angel statues all over. Bring a camera and take lots of pics at lots of different angles in various lighting scenes. You'll be suprised!

And if you are not religious why would you want an angel? Makes absolutely no sense!...But yeah...graveyards...digital camera...computer...instant tattoo design!,TAz

For starters she is a he...and I am really unsure why I would want angels. Just seems right. Something draws me to them.

So true. The style I seem to have in mind is Roman type angels. I have been looking through a bunch of pictures of 18th century roman angel statues.

You might want to check out the art of Gustave Dore. Just search on Google under his name.

Checked him out pretty good. For some reason the best shots of have found have been of a bridge in Rome. It has statues running on both sides and those statues are very close to what I am looking for.
