Ankle swelling - NOT infected

I got my first tattoo this past Saturday 4/22. It's located on the outside of my lower leg, just above the ankle bone. I'm following all of my artist's instructions and it's healing perfectly. I have no fear of infection, but my ankle and foot are still swollen, 5 days later. Anyone else ever experience this? Is it normal?

I had exactly the same problem when I had my foot and ankle done. It was swollen for about a week. I guess it's because the skin around that area is pretty thin compared to everywhere else, and the fact that you walk and put pressure on it doesn't help! Try elevating your foot when sitting down. I wouldn't worry though!
