Another "design help" thread...

I have been working on an idea for a tat for a long time now. I need a feather, in shades of red/orange/yellow. The inspiration was the cover of "vurt" by Jeff Noon. http://www.lumivirtuale.ro/lumi46/vrt.jpg However, as you can see it isn't a very easy design to make into a tattoo... I was wondering if any of you were photoshop wizzes and could come up with something quick. I would like it to look like a quill, but there are no decent pics of quills on the net anywhere! A good artist could make that pic a great tattoo without too much modification I reckon! Where abouts do you live?

I live in Guernsey Channel Islands. There is only tattooist over here, and I don't really trust them. I might look into it when I go over to NY. I hope someone can work it out for me. Thanks for your help.

I am going on holiday to New York in October and am planning on getting this tattoo whilst I am there. I am from the UK and have never been to NY before. All I know is that I am staying on Broadway. I will have a day free and if I am gonna have one done, I want it to be a good one. Any suggestions as to where I should go? Thank you!
