I remember when that shop was profiled in one of the magazines, and that was like 10yrs.ago..Barnaby Williams, was one of the guy's that used to work there, and he since opened his own shop called moms tattoo..in my opinion,he did the best work in the shop back then..i don't know who works there now..i didn't even know that the shop was still open..Anyway if u wan't to check out barnaby's work, the site is www.momstattoo.com
You are correct. I do know that Moms Tattoo is on the same street as Anubis Warpus...Haight St.
I have a tattoo from there, the guy's are awesome they all have different styles that make it easier to find someone that fits your needs. Marco has been there the longest, Luke is really good at sci-fi futuristic and glen is really good at the animated styles. If you like pirate stuff talk to Marco he is super educated on pirates. But whatever you get make sure you totally want it because whatever it is it will be on you forever unless you get it removed.
Anubis Warpus is now called Haight Ashbury Tattoo and Piercing. With so many shops opening on our block we decided to change our name to reflect the fact that we were the original. We have the largest selection of body jewelry in northern california and a variety of tattoo artists with different styles. Come see us next time your in town or check out our blog. Open 7 days a week at the historic corner of haight and ashbury.

I've been to Anubis Warpus to actually get my piercing there. They're very friendly and are have extensive knowledge on the jewelry they sell. Also they're the only people I know who sell gauges separately (including wood tips). Their tattoo artistry is quite excellent. My bf has gotten his tattoos there many times. They charge a minimum of $60 per tattoo. They're quite pricey but I think it's worth it.
