I'm travelling to India and was wondering if anyone can reccommend a tattoo parlour or artist in India. I've only been able to locate one parlour but can't seem to find an address for it. It's called Funky Monkey, located in mumbai. I would appreciate any help! Cheers

Needles are dipped in the ink and skin is pierced with these needles along the lines of the selected design. The complete design is drawn this way. Once done the Tattoo stays for whole life. The traditional way of doing Tattoo is very painful and most of the cases unhygienic also. But with the advent of modern machines and medically tested pigments, the Tattoo procedure has now become very safe. The pain factor has also reduced to none or negligible and it takes around 2 -7 days to heal. In India people have gradually started excepting this art form again and are now eager to get Tattooed. However there are very few professional and authentic Tattoo artists in India. Some have migrated from western countries and have settled in India and now offer their services here. This way the cost of getting Tattooed in India also have reduced as compared to other countries. e.g. it will cost as much as five times lower to get Tattooed in India than in New York. A lot of care has to be exercised when you get yourself Tattooed. This include choosing the right artist, the right design and the right equipment. Always try to see the previous work done by the artist. Ask about the hygiene. A new needle should be used for each person. A very small container should be used to hold the ink and after the Tattoo is done this container should be destroyed. In no case it should be used for other people. It is impossible or very difficult to remove a Tattoo once it is done. So one has to be very careful before deciding the spot where the Tattoo is to be done. He also ran away away from delhi cause of bad name in delhi. Its a permanent mark on your body get it done from a good shop. No matter where you get your tattoo done, but Als should be your last preference. Ben Irani is a good guy, nad has avery scientific approach. It was my first tattoo and did not want to take any chances with it, so on the recommendation of some of my friends went over to Al's for a tattoo. Since I was in a hurry I did not look properly when I was still at the shop, but called him in exactly 10 minutes to tell him about the mistakes in the tattoo in terms of the symmetry of the tatto, where on one side one line was thicker than the other side and some other lines was way off center, back then he told me to wait for 15 days before he could do a touch up on it. But post 15 days when I got back in touch with him, the response that I got was very rude and abrupt. I was told that I should have let him know about any mistakes before I left his shop, and now I would have to shell out another 1500 bucks for the equipment, and if I had an answer for that then he would work on the rectification, and bid me goodbye. So, much for being a kind of brand for tattoos in Mumbai. They happen to be one of the priciest in Mumbai, and we expect them to deliver when it comes to customer satisfaction. But I guess with these guys it takes a back seat. My thought was to get a body canvas done based on this tattoo, but now, no matter who I go to Al's will definetely not be one of the choices. And, will also never recommend them to any of my friends or acquaintances.
