Hey everyone. I'm suppose to have a tattoo done by Rob at BobbyFive tattoos in Toronto. I booked this tattoo over a year ago. And now I'm trying to get ahold of him to see if any drawings have been done for my tattoo which is suppose to be in May.
I've sent a few emails and called a few times to no avail. The website is also down saying "under construction".
And I just want to know if anyone knows anything because i don't want to find another artist I searched him out on purpose. But if i have to I'd like to know that for sure the shop has closed or whatever.
Anyone know what's going on with BobbyFive

hi there, did you ever find out what happened? did you get your work done? i'm in the same boat - appointment booked over a year ago - and can't find a trace.
I actually got a hold of Rob for a consultation through email, in April. He is still up and going, although he is still crazy booked up. I recently emailed him again about my proposed sleeve, but havent received an email back. I am going to try and call again tomorrow.

I had the same issue with Rob. I booked my appointment in July '07 and got tatted September '08. When I went for my first session, Rob had no drawing done at all. He basically drew each section of the tatto at the start of each session. I am quite pleased with my tattoo, I do feel that some of my own design was lost in the tattoo.
My advice to you is that when tou see Rob, either have your complete design ready for him, or make him sit there and draw it out until YOUR sattisfied.
I had an appointment waited a year and a half and then he pulled a Bobby Five. It's a shame such a talented artist tarnishes his own name by ditching clients waiting & willing to pay him good money for his service... My recommendation based on my experience don't bother considering, "Bobby (Tits on a Bull) 5". Five representing the number of clients he ditches week.
The reality is Rob will tattoo who he wants and what he wants. I don't have a problem getting all my appts in and neither do most ppl I know. It may take a little longer then some crappy walk-in place but it's well worth it. Bottom line is he's an artist and may not want to tattoo someone's crappy design that they did or got one of their "artist" friend to do. He's being selective...get over it.
Any info on how to contact Rob Coutts? Bobby Five is no more, and I can't seem to find a web site, email or contact info for Rob. Maybe this means he's retired or not taking new clients?
