don't know how much of help I can be but from where I stand you can pretty much make a good machine out of any machine. All depends on your experience. Unless of course you got some cheap aluminum frame from online or something then its pretty much impossible to turn that into something decent. Sorry i never used an apollo but I thought that my first little bit of info would give you more confidence in the fact that it really doesnt matter what brand name machine you use. especially considering the ol timers on this site have spoken of building their own machine or taking theirs apart and rebuilding it. Its all a matter of preference. The most I could say is buy it. If you dont like it you could tweak the hell out of that bad boy. Or use it as a paperweight............
Good point!
I'll give it a try, and see what I can do with it!
Worst comes to worst, I will have a nice oversized Keyring!
Thanx

Machines are like tattoos, you get what you pay for. Unimax isn't exactly known for their quality machines, so you might want to take that into consideration.
I don't think unimax actually makes the Apollo Tattoo Machine,
I just posted the link to the first page I found with a picture of it(which happened to be the unimax site).
Taz,
Did you go to the link and take a look at it?
your thoughts? (anyone else's thoughts are welcome too!)

Honestly, it looks like Junk. The rear shelf alone looks like a bent piece of thin metal. I'd avoid it.
Wopuldn't buy it ...for the same price ya can get a National eagle or swing gate...great mechines...a bit noisy with the shorty coils but I use em every day!...TAz
Thanks for the advice guys!

i think your wrong , dont dismiss this machine on its looks its a strong well made machine and very light and versatile, its not cheap either compared to the non labelled version if its stamped apollo its the genuine one i own most top brand made machines (sharpz, pulse, paco, infinate, hyper, paulo fernando, and few hand made one offs by good builders too + more) from all over the world and think my apollos (ive two) are up there with them, highly recomended and a good price try one
to tell you the truth the first apollos they use to make that said apollo on the frame were good but the piece of shit they got now sucks if you whant a decent economic machine go with papillons wishbone or the coastal .any of their machines are really good and will last you forever their brass or steel no aluminum.unimax sucks.
