Artist help needed for tattoo design...

I've been looking around at different tattoo art for ideas of my first tattoo... I've wanted one the last two years and believe i came up with the design I want... please if someone could help draw up the idea i have for my tattoo please e-mail me. I do know the tattoo place I went to can design it with me but I want to put a little more time into editing and making sure it's the way I want it than the guy who's gunna be puttin it on me.. nothing big, going to be on my shoulder... i'm sure it wouldnt be too hard... please email me [email removed]

Where are you going? The artist doing the tattoo really should be the one to design it. Usually custom artists will draw your tattoo design until your happy. Having another artist work on the design that someone else will then customize seems like a waste of everyones time... William Webb II is a great custom tattoo artist in NJ among others.

I was thinking about Modern Age Tattoo's in Nanuet, NY because I know a few friends of friends that have gone there and had good work done... I went there and checked it out and seemed real nice and clean. To me, personally, I think it wouldn't be a waste of anything to have something to reference to show the tattoo artist what I want... even if it's altered at the last second... I'm sure anyone who would be willing to help would come up with something real neat and show a lot of skill, so if nothing else it's something nice to even hang on the wall of what the tattoo would have looked like before the final touches...

While I respect artists drawing tattoo designs for people, I think the best tattoos that are drawn custom are drawn by the tattoo artist doing the work. After all, the artist will be doing the tattoo so they know their own capabilities and they will have looked at your body part possibly traceing the area on paper for reference. If you are looking for a custom tattoo design, I would highly advise looking at a LOT of custom tattoo portfolios until you find the tattoo artist whos tattooing style you love. Then talk to the artist you choose about designing the perfect tattoo design for you. The artist will be more motovated because the tattoo design is their own, and you will get the best tattoo the artist is capable of.
