I'm looking to get a large scale piece and would love to have Heather McLean do it. The problem is she is in Canada and this would take several trips, family, work and cost make this next to impossible. Are there any artist in the New England area that have a similar style?

check out Cory@ www.goodfaithtattooing.com
and www.nickbaxter.com
Thanks. Cory is good, but his work does not have what Heather's does. Nick Baxter is great at what he does and I can see why you compared his work to Heather's but it is not for me.
Hmmm, Tim Kern? What type of piece, I can think of a few artists who travel to new england a few times a year... jeff ensminger, nathan kostechko, adrian dominic, sweet laraine...
her work is awesome too. I think I saw her portfolio once before, some of the tattoos are absolutely stunning!
I want a large piece based on the chinese proverb--If we continue along our current path we will eventually come to our destination. With an image of the 4 horsemen of the apocolypse and an opposite scene of serenity (to be discussed with the artist) I'm not sure if I want the proverb in the tattoo. This is not a heaven hell thing.
By the way Gabe I know you are a Mucha fan I'm 1 session away from having mine finished. I'll post when it is healed.
Alphonse Mucha is one of my favorite artists. I LOVE hes stuff.
Your really limiting yourself by just focusing on artists in the New England area to find someone comparable to an artists of the caliber as Heather.
You can check out more of corys work at www.krugertattoos.com
He's one of the best in this country..And Gabe is putting on the tattoo convention in Hancock,MA in October, maybe you can start something with an artists at the convention..The site is tattoogathering.com There is a guy in Jersey who does really nice smooth work with alot of depth sort of along the style of Heather's- www.chrisadamek.com But like i said, her work is some of the best out there, and your not going to find someone just by focusing in one area of the country.
If I travel to have the piece done I'll go to her! That is why I'm focused on the NE area to see if there is someone I could go to that I like. There are a few CT artists I would be happy to go to for the dark side--4 horsemen side, I would love to have her take the serene side something about her use of colors. Maybe it is the female perspective that I'm having a hard time finding?
Maybe one of them would be a good one. They are near New England area etc.
