BAKER IS A DUMB ASS!!

15 messages · last activity 7/22/2006

OK all, I am a dumb ass and need to pay more attention!!! I was wanting to buy a copy of Huck Spauldings book, and I was also wanting to buy a copy of reinventing the tattoo that I saw on E-Bay! So I took the little extra cash I had, and opened up a NET TELLER account and put it all in! Then realized that 99.9% of e-bay accepts pay pal, not netteller! errrr.... dumbass!!! If ya got a copy of either and want to sell it, (and u have a net teller account) let me know! Baker sendz..........
there's no way you can close the netteller account and just open a paypal one instead?
I am sure there is, but i am sur netteller would charge a good fee to withdrawl, and i am sure paypal yould charge a fee to deposit! they gotta make money somehow!!! Baker sendz........
oh. well. i'm not sure about netteller.. but paypal is your friend. seriously -- i've a business paypal account. as a buyer it costs you NOTHING. seriously. i've moved to the other half of it - seller -- that's when it starts costing you. as a seller they take a percentage of your 'winnings' if it's a credit card transaction. when you're a buyer you don't necessarily deposit anything into your account. you can either a)hook up your bank account to your paypal -- which it will transfer the exact amount of funds to pay for an item (3-4days) OR b)hook up a credit card or bank card to your account -- which will INSTANTLY withdraw the funds when you pay.
Baker, Ok.. I just went through all of the net teller website (neteller.com) -- I went through the terms of use, withdrawal policies, etc. From what I see there is no fee for you to withdraw those funds so long as the deposit you made has already cleared your bank. Net teller might ask you for authorization/confirmation to transfer/withdrawal funds to another banking institution etc but that's about it. The only thing I wasn't able to find was how to close the account. However, I'm assuming that if there's no funds, there's no worries. It does mention that if the account is inactive for 5 years they'll close it and you'll have 90 days to claim your balance. So I think that you're safe!!! :) bee
Bee, You're obviously new at this kind of stuff aren't you? *lol* =P
Bee, Thanks for all the help! Baker sendz......
Baker, glad to be of service. ;) J-Werk - sarcasm? serious? patronizing me maybe? :P
And just when I was half-assed begining to think I was getting fairly good at searches, along come you smarty butts, making me feel like a shmuck. Damn, you two are GOOD. Damn kids! Bee, what's the update on your 'condition', sure curious, SHARE INFO. J-werk, I need that site ya refered to awhile back (re:Tattoo Studio directory) when ya exposed the asshole who claimed to own 3 studios but ya traced the name and showed he was lying, 'member which? Tried finding back post, no go. Kindly send me that site when ya can...Doc
Doc, The site is www.tattoo-spot.com. Pretty easy to navigate. Bee, Yes, the Sarcasm was oooooozing on that one. Never patronioze ya. =P Honestly! I would never say anything to make my nerdbox buddy sad or mad. ESPECIALLY with the 1% incentive on the line!!!! =) ... Plus I fear the fabled right hook to the knee. I have a tendency to scream like a girl when I am attacked. =P
You should hear him when we beat him with a clipchord at the shop!!!
there are free paypal accounts for people that just plan to casually buy...you don't get to paying until you are like, using it for business...check it out...AND, paypal doesn't charge to close an account either...just check netteller i'm sure you'll find it...and in the long run it's probably worth it now for if you want to buy something later, then you won't hae to worry about it then.
Whatever Baker ya dipshit!!! Really tho man get that book ...and its not even the book that is so cool its the badass forum that goes with it... I wasn't aware you were interested in being an artist!!
Taz, To tell the truth, I am not sure if I am interested in "being " an artist! But I am interested in artist's (if that makes any sense!) I have alot of knowledge from being a collector, and would like to have a more in depth view of the other side of the tattoo machine. That, and when I am interested in a topic, I like to find out alot of information about that topic from all views / perspectives! That and I enjoy reading! I don't mind spending a hundred bucks on a book, if it is a topic that I am interested in, and i have been told it is good readin! Not sure if you can make sense of all this, but it makes perfect sense in my own head! lol Baker sendz........
Sure...it makes perfect sense pal!...That book is worth every penny and the forum is just icing on the cake!!! TRY IT!!!
