You should find a custom tattoo artist whose style you love, bring them some reference and ideas, and have them draw up your tattoo for you. There are some great folks in the NYC Area. Lou Jacque from New Haven CT at Darkside Tattoo would do a fantastic job. I believe Dan Marshell is working right in NYC as well. I would definitly have the artist who is doing the work draw the design, though. thats wjhat custom tattoo artists do best!
