Blisters

Wednesday Sep 13 2006 i got a butterfly tattoo a couple days later I got blisters. Is this normal?

....Sorry, but to answer your question; no, blistering is not typical. How have you been taking care of it?

I got funny blisters on one of my tattoos, a couple of years ago. My artist thought I might be allergic to the red ink.... then, last year, i had a small heart touched up, and I had the SAME effect, tiny little blisters. Luckily, both tattoos healed fine, and there were no white spots throughout. I don't know if the allerigic red ink thing is TRUE, but I know that now that I have large portions of me covered, I make sure red is NOT a prominent color, JUST in case:)

I've never seen blister on a tat. I've seen pimples though. Some people get them when they put excessive ointment.
