I thought this was a good cause that could use a little more exposure.

agreed, however dont be shocked by the astronomical shipping price, 11.95 for the lowest shipping cost.
Hey I think it's rad, because they donate 100% of the cost to support HIV/AIDS. I think its such BS when companies like Gap and Motorola try to capalize with that project red crap when they only donate 10% of the sales cost. So basically the doop people into buying more of their crap thinking they're helping a good cause. I mean something is better then nothing, but these companies are rolling in the dough, I think they could fork out more then a measely 10% of the profits for that one item.
But hey project blood, seems cool, even if shipping is excessive.
Bravo to Workhorse Irons and Stable Colors! I'll be getting a shirt as soon as possible.
I don't support or shop at GAP but just to be straight Gap does do alot more than donate 10% I used to work for the longest running and most succesfull AIDS WALK campaign in the US and GAP provides all the tshirts and clothing to be printed for all the walker and whatnot and they also pay millions to be used for fundraising efforts in exchange for one GAP banner at the finish line. Thats like a few million tshirts a year, thats pretty good for a huge corperate company. Considering.
Itd be lovely if it were all that simple Filthy, but once you do the math its all disgustingly glaring why they started project red. Gap is a company that has a revenue of like 16 billion dollars i think it is. One of the ways theyve accrued such a large amount of capital is by their use of sweatshop labor in overseas countries, which they were recently sued over after having found out that many of the sweatshops had policies like not paying overtime, dangerous working conditions, and forced abortions. They still use sweatshop labor though, they started Project Red for the sole purpose of deluding people into forgetting all about their recent legal troubles and making people feel good about themselves for shopping there. Its like this, theyre putting millions of dollars into Project Red, so that they continue to make Billions down the line. Would you pay a dollar in order to make a hundred?
