blurry lines

it is my understanding that if your needle depth is too deep, or if you lean your machine over at too extreme an angle while tattooing that you will hit the fatty layer in the skin and the ink will disperse more ,giving the appearance of blurry lines. Sometimes referred to as a "blow out" or to " blow out a line." This also seems to happen if your tattooist doesn't pull up a little when going over a bony area like the wrist or ankle. If your'e doing this to people, then you should think about stopping tattooing for a while, working on your drawing skill, and knocking on a bunch of doors until you can find a good artist who can show you how to tattoo correctly, and don't expect many artists to be very forthcoming with revealing the trade secrets. Most good tattoo artists put in their time and paid their dues, and will expect you to do the same.
Or, If you got a tattoo from someone that has a bunch of blow outs...go to someone else.
Good Luck!
