Broken tattoo gun or what?

i purchased a tattoo kit off of a web site recentley when i hook everything upand press the foot pedal the gun powers for a few seconds then stops. it continues to go on and off in bursts. i dont know if it is the gun or the power source. thanks for any help

Change the gun fuse. Naww! I can't be that mean! I'm sure the settings on your MACHINE are off and just way too many things to know without having it in hand. A good place to start would be to ask your mentor, which since you call it a "GUN" I am gonna go way out on a limb here and presume you don't have a mentor. Gabe does not allow technical talk on this forum and rightly so. I am afraid you will need to find your info elsewhere.

check your contact point screw...Could be ur yokes....Hes already got the thing,may aswell give him a lil helping hand.

Could be a dozen different things, and a lot of machines do NOT have yokes, lets not confuse the issue for a noob!

Yeh,thought that was implied with "could be" as in if your machine has them. anywho.
