I was wondering if anyone has ever gotten bumps on a older tattoo? It almost feels like hives on it. It hasn't always been like that either. Just wondering if anyone knows what it could be. Thanks
Bumps on a 8 year old tattoo

Is it suddenly producing bumps, or have they been appearing all along?
If they've been appearing all along -- though mostly in the summer, or hot months -- it could be the result of non-predispursed inks/pigments that weren't mixed well. Think of pancake batter that wasn't mixed thouroughly enough; it has bunches of dried clumps throughout the mixture. If this happens with pigment, they can raise at certain times and in certain conditions.
In nearly all of these cases it is due to phototoxicity, that is the tattooans your bodys reaction to uv rays. Very common place.
