Burn on my tattoo

I had a tattoo put on the top of my foot on Thursday march 22, 2012 and they said to keep it clean and ice it. Well on Sunday when I got off work (8am) I fell asleep with a gel ice pack on my foot. It originally had hard bumps on it then after I left the ice pack on my foot I cleaned it and then put aveeno lotion on it and it blistered up. I went to the dr and she looked at it and said I had an infection of the skin where I had the colored Lilly. The black is fine. I thought I was allergic to colored ink but the tattoo artist said they only used vegan approved colors and they haven't had a reaction to their ink. Has any one ever had an ice pack burn on their skin or an allergic reaction to this special ink??
