Can I get Red Covered with Pale Green?

Is there anyway to sort of fade red out (whether it be by Tat B Gone or Tat Gone Ink) and get it covered with a pale green? My tattoo is only days old, and I already want to switch up the colors, basically just out of personal preference...is it at all possible? (I've been told by one artist that it would appear brown if attempted, and another that it'd have to be a DARK green and some red would still show through....which is why I'm asking if the red can be faded OR if its possible that a really good artist (maybe using a special type of ink) could get the red covered up with a pale green))

No ...the only thing you can do is let it heal and get it laser lightened then recolor...or go with a darker color... How in the world did you get a color you did not want???I just don't get it.....TAz

you could try this. i use this method in covering work. let the red heal good or not good so it doesnt stay in well. once the red is healed overall you could get some white (which is an opaque color) tattooed over the red a couple of times. of course you have 1 session of white done then let that settle in for at least a month or more then do another layer of white and let that settle in for a month minimum. then the red should be toned down enough to put a green over it. the green might turn a little to the brown/grey side but should be a decent tone especially with the white base there. just make sure theres plenty of time in between the healings so the skin doesnt get scarred or over worked. also its best to find an artist that has worked with this method before. this process takes patience and shouldnt be rushed just like any well thought out tattoo and design. or to be a wise ass make sure your colors are well thought out in advance next time...

I got a small tatoo of a moon and chose light blue, it didn't turn on that way, it's more like a tourquise blue, I hate the color, how can I fix the color. Thanks.

thanks taz. i know mario barth uses this method in cover ups as well as tim or james kern. actually one of the kerns has an advanced cover up book you can get at either kingpin or snakeface or straight from them. i picked up some nice hints from it. same with joshua carltons book on advanced realism techniques. i cant wait for his other book. its kind of nice of these guys to share some tips on how they work. you imagine 10 or 15 years ago taz if someone even mentioned a book...lol... thanks to guy aitchison for starting the trend i guess.. of yeahalso joey desormeauxs book at infiniteirons.com has some good theories on you know what...
