Can't find tattoo artist

8 messages · last activity 6/16/2005

I hope some one can help me find a tattoo artist I saw on television. I can't remember if it was on TLC, Discovery, or National Geographic. He is an Indian guy who tattooed in the East Coast. He doesn't have any tattoo's of his own. I ordered a tape named Human Canvas, from the Discovery store but that wasn't it. The show was aired last year or so, I can't remember exactly. I am sure that Paul Booth was on the same show, I tried to find shows that Paul was on and the only one that had a name the Human Canvas. I think this guy tattooed the Mona Lisa on a guys arm, and a Van Gogh painting on a girls forearm. If anyone knows who I am talking about I need to know the guys name, or shop, or anything. Thanks Haboue
His name is Anil Gupta he's in NYC Manhattan. IM not certrain what he calls his studio. But I believe that its an appointment only studio. Good luck... JOE

anil gupto? i think.
anil is talented, but he charges 300 an hour.i was at his studio last month and was talking with his apprentice about getting a portrait from anil.he said it usually takes 5 to 8 hrs,at 300 an hour..so it would be around 1,500.i personally don't think anybody should be charging that much.i bet filip leu doesn't charge that much an hour, and i would much rather get tattooed by him.
actually filip does charge 300 an hour hahaha. But hes wicked fast.
Yeah, $300. bucks an hour, and Oh by the way did you mention He's Filip Leu.... JOE
