Can we talk koi?

I'm looking to start to add a koi to a create a 1/2 sleeve. A lot of koi I see in flash are pretty "hard" looking. Saying that, I do not mean they are not well done, but I'm thinking more on a kindler/gentler lil girl koi (not cartoon though). Any links anyone has? Also, is it weird to have Japanese mixed with old school religious? I got a great guy here in L.A. that specializes in Japanese tats. TIA! Meow

Plus, I'm starting to think it's not what you combine, but how it get's done. I think most wierdness comes from a lack of flow in how people choose to position and color their tats. I think a lot of choppiness comes from sticking artwork in different places in an unconnected way... Get that flow goin, I think you can combine anything you want...

Meow ~ I've seen fine-lined black and grey koi be especially beautiful on women when done with lots of soft grey shading and even some negative space. Tima
