I have heard 3 different things from 3 different tattoo artists. Can you get an epidural (Where they shove a needle up your spine, normaly when giving birth) if you get a tattoo on your spine/lower back?
Here are the answers I have recieved:
-Yes, it doesn't matter.
-No, lord no, you can't.
-Yes, but not right after you recieve your tattoo.
Thank you so much!
Can you still get an epidurial if you tattoo your lower back?

Where did you even hear you could get an epidural???? Tattoo artists are not anesthesiologists.
I think the question was more like, if she gets a tattoo on her lower back, and a year or 5 years or whenever later is having a baby, will the tattoo be affected if she gets an epidural. Or is an epidural even an option if the lower back is tattooed?
That's how I read the question, but I could be wrong.
Hi I made some research for you and found this article that might help you with your question.
