Color Tatoos

I wanted to get a color tatoo but as a dark skinned man is it a good idea?

Umm Dark skinned??? Like African american, Or like indian, asian??? If you go to a good tattoo shop and they say No, then i would say sorry, But your best bet is to ask people who can see you cause Dark skinned can mean almost anything..

Yeah, its hard to say what will work if we dont know exactly how dark you are. I tattoo down here in Bermuda and about 60-70% of my clients are black. I can give you a pretty good idea of what works best (from my experience). If your like Wesley Snipes or 50 Cent dark, then color may be an issue. Red, green and black will do fine but anything else wouldnt be worth your time. If you're closer to Will Smith or someone like that then you can get away with more, like oranges, lighter greens, yellow maybe, etc. Black and grey tattoos will stand up in damn near anyone. If you're really worried about it, go with black & grey instead. Or ask a tattooist in your area. If they've got a few years under their belt, they'll know how well color will stand out on ya.
