ive been doin tattoos for awhile now. i havent really watched the hand work of any other artist. i guess you can say im self taught. for some reason i cant get my shades to flow, ( dark to light), theres always a hard border. also im having trouble getting my colors to stay, big trouble. it goes on dark and heals faded as fuck. my ink is a little thick, so i added some witch hazel. im using just a regular superior tattoo machine that came with a kit, but i saving for a mickey sharpz. my equipment is not top of the line but i feel i should be able to make my shit stay, and do a good tattoo no matter what. PLEASE, someone help me!! if you dont know what your talking about please dont upset your carpel tunnel, i dont appreciate bull shitters, any usefull information id greatly appreciate. tattooing's an art, not a joke.
QUOTED: "i dont appreciate bull shitters, any usefull information id greatly appreciate. tattooing's an art, not a joke" If tattooing is and art and not a joke, what business do you have with peoples skin? Not to sound harsh, but nor yourself or clients deserve the position you are in. Obtaining technical info on a website is not the way to proceed. Imagine if people hart transplant surgeons would just start opening people by tips found on the net. Give your collectors and yourself the respect they/ you deserve. Seek for an apprenticeship. What type of products and sterilization devices do you own? This is not a joke, there is no difference between having unprotected sex with a whore than tattooing without knowledge. It's just a disaster bound to happen. Wish you good luck finding the right way of learning.
What the hell are you doing thinning inks yourself ,its obvious that your scratching . and where did you hear to use witch hazel to cut inks ?
good luck getting a sharpz machine ,they dont sell to scumbag scratchers ...........maybe scumbags but not scratchers
Yea dude, you really should set your mind to seeking out an apprenticeship. It's not right that you're ruining people's bodies. Tattooing is for professionals and takes a lot of practice and skill, you have no business doing this.
i use an a sound cleaner to clean my tubes and an autoclave to sterilize it. my work is clean safe and sterile. and from my understanding the tattoo industry is full of "scratchers" with business space rented out. i did an apprenticeship for two years. all i learned was that i didnt want to be involved with those who use mind altercaters to bring out their scences. im active in many different art forms. i take extreme pride in everything i do, and if any of my clients have any issue with what i do i reassure them with perfection. i plan on getting my work online here shorlty so you who feel its necessary, can put their two scents in it. ive had no complaints. if you dont have any tips for me cool. but dont bring on some industry bull shit on how im wrecking skin cells. ill continue doing great tattoos and excelling on my own. see you guys at ink slingers ball. and be prepared haters, to see my name up in lights. }------> johnny rose <------{
I'm a new artist as well and have also had troubles in the past with color not sticking properly. well.... for me I found 2 reasons. watching other people I've seen that they weren't even filling the right way and overdoing the speed instead of taking the time to to do tiny round circular motions to make sure there are no skin spots left in their tattoos. The second problem I found was in the aftercare. some people either put too much ointment or not enough. or refuse to cover it while sleeping which causes your ink to stick to the sheets and completely destroy a tat. If you use too much ointment you'll drown out your color and your tat won't be able to breath properly. and if you let it dry out too much it'll fuck it up just as much. like on a a bottle of tattoo goo it says to use a very small amount, rub it into the skin 3-4 times a day. depending on a persons skin i'd think that's more than enough. If you can prove me wrong write me back. I'd like to hear your hints and tips.
soooo, your gonna continue to do great tattoos, with hard lines in your blending, faded as fuck colors, and holidays and drop outs?? get the fuck on outta here, son.
