could my tattoo be infected?

I got a tattoo on my ankle/leg two days ago, and it still hurts. I walk a few steps and kinda have to limp. The tattoo itself has already seemed to scab in some spots and there is redness around it. And it's swollen up a lot. My ankle looks pretty swollen. I don't know what I should do. I haven't seem any puss or anything so I don't know if its infected or not. Should I use neosporin?
