I had a very small (1cm by 1cm ish) tat of a hexagram done in black yesterday. peoblem is, it's not what I wanted! I wanted a pentagram... Tattooists mistake... So I have been offered a cover up, but I'm unsure what to get? I wanted the penta in the first place that size because it was small, thin lines and looked delicate. now I'm gonna have to go bigger to cover the hex with something else. Bit I'd still like it to be pretty small and delicate. Any ideas?
Also - since it was only done yesterday, is it worth just waiting for it to scab and trying to pick some of it out? Might make it easier to cover unless it scars?
Cover up advice?

You say it was the artist fault, I'm just curious. There are several factors involved here.
1) Did the artist show you the wrong design before tattooing it on you? If so, why did you approve of it if it wasn't what you wanted? (your fault), and if they did the wrong design of what was agreed upon, again, your fault for choosing an artist that can't even go along with your original plan. You should research your artist before letting them tattoo you.
2) Did the artist put a stencil on you first? If so, again, your fault for letting him continue from there.
3) Did you just allow the artist to jump into it freehanding it with a machine with no design agreed upon? Once again, your fault for not doing your research on the artist and determining if this person was the right person for the job and putting your trust in someone who obviously wasn't worth your trust.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Let your unwanted tattoo heal properly. So you've got this tattoo you're unhappy with. That's your problem. Your priorities should lie in finding the proper artist to do a cover up at this point. If you feel your artist made this mistake , I'm not sure how you would feel they're worthy of doing a cover up. I'm by no means a seasoned veteran when it comes to cover ups but it is a whole different ball game than tattooing "naked skin". Take your time and be choosey.
On the design aspect , well you'd be pretty damn suprised how dainty and ladylike even a cover up tattoo can be. Just take your time and find the artist that makes you completely comfortable in their abilities and in their presence in general.
