Cover-up old tattoo and scar

Hey now - A few years ago I had major upper spine surgery. The scarring runs from the bottom of my neck to just below my shoulder blades right through an older tattoo. It is an f'in mess. The old tattoo is mangled with the scar and the muscle didn't grow back directly under the scar for about a 1x4" area. I've tried a few times to find an artist who would be willing to cover up this mess. Old tattoo, scar and all. But I haven't been able to find anyone willing to take this on. Well anyone who I would trust. I'm willing to travel, within reason. I'm in central Jersey. Any suggestions would be appreciated. jim

It is amazing. If I had asked about getting a penis tattoo, a tattoo for a minor, or some sexual fetish regarding a tattoo I would have a bunch of responses. But I ask a serius question looking for advice on where to begin looking for someone who is a specialist in covering up an old tattoo/scar and no responses. The lack of responses actually just proves my point that finding a good cosmetic tattoo artist is very hard to find. jim

Hey Jim, Im not a tattoo artist AT ALL so I havent the sligtest wot to do bout ur tattoo but u should be proud of ur scar!!!! I had a MAJOR blood clot wen i was 16 which nearly killed me and i have a few ugly scars but they saved my life and im proud of them!!! scars and marks distinguish us from everyone else!!!
