Cover Up Question

2 messages · last activity 6/9/2006

I've got 2 tattoos on my calves that I would like to get covered up. I want to get the entire backs of my legs done up with different tattoos. The tattoos I have now are about 4 inches in diameter with black outlining, with sort of thick old english letters in the middle in black. The rest is filled in with red. It's basically a flesh wound looking tattoo with my intitials in the middle of each flesh wound. (The letters are about 6 years old now and the rest is 5) I can have the tattoos faded down to about 20% or probably even less in a 3 month period or so, something I plan on doing after summer. The part I'm worried about is the black letters. If I had the black letters, the black outlining, and the red ink faded like this, could I get cover up work done without any troubles? Does it depend on the colors? Any help/suggestions would be highly appreciated, thanks.
There is NO tattoo that cannot be covered! And covered successfully. Some take much more work than others and a lot of people not in the business of tattooing just do not get why major coverups take longer and cost so much more...I suggest that you consult with several competent artists about your tattoos...we can really tell you very little without seeing them...that would be akin to a body shop giving an estimate on repairs to a wrecked car they have never sen...can't do it!...wouln't be prudent at this juncture!..T
