cover-ups

I am interested in getting a cover-up piece over an existing tattoo. I have gone to several locations and have gotten several different responses as to the possibilities, too big and dark to cover, covering would be simple, you need to get a half sleeve to cover, go colorful and it will be easy etc. I'm also curious about the products on the market that allegedly fade the tattoo in order to make covering up easier. Also, any suggestions on good tattoo artists on Long Island New York?
Hey there without seeing the tattoo that needs to be covered than it's hard to say what can be done. It's probably almost certain that you'll have to go larger that whats already there. In Suffolk county check out CIV, Jay, and Eric at Lotus tattoo in Sayville. Or ZAM, at visionary tattoo in Center Moriches. In Nassau see Scotty at Super 88 in Massapequa, Mike Rubendall, at Davinci In Wantagh. There all very professional, and been tattooing a long time. Good luck... J.Capobianco www.hopegallerytattoo.com
i wouldn't try any of those creams,i heard that they leave scars.i've gotten some tattoos hit with a laser, and it seems the only proven way to lighten up a tattoo.check out smoothlaser.com in manhattan..and call the shops Joe recommended, and ask them if they know a good place to get the tattoo lasered.
hey there, Scotty at Super 88 tattoo did my cover up on my shoulder, it was 2 rolls of 3 kanji that i got when i was ah younger. I think he did a great job , he has done other cover up jobs that came out real good, here is a link of my tat that he did, http://www.super88tattoo.com/Tattoos/tattoos_1680.html I also got my full back done by scotty, and i can say hes real cool talented guy. def check him out. bryang
