Creating a sleeve after this

You've got kind of a macabre look going maybe and the possibilities are virtualy endless. Skulls and mist and graveyards and old dead trees with faces or the sky under a full moon or Hell itself or biomech but all this has been done before. I'd take your ideas for the two pieces you know you want to some twisted little tattoo artist somewhere and have them sketch out something for ya.
Ta for the advice, i am going for a good and evil side. I have allready got the gothic angel at the top of my arm. On artist i spoke to said it would be hard t o make a sleeve out out what i have allready and that i shoud have thought about a sleeve three years ago before i had that piece done. Sadly i only had one tattoo before that and didnt know about getting a sleeve at that time.
is he wrong about that or would it be easy to create a sleeve?
You're welcome , and. In my opinion , I"m not a professional by the way. But I'd ditch whoever it was that told you they couldn't blend an existing tattoo into a sleeved out unified type piece. Just take a look at some of the advanced cover up work and collaborative pieces in the galleries on this site , there's some super talented artists out there that are capable of damn near anything it seems at times. Frankly whoever told you they couldn't do it probably shoudln't be tattooing your skin to begin with. But that's just my lowly opinion.
Your right enough, thats kinda what i was thinking. I have gone for a Guy in Inverness who was good enough to explain to me the best way about designing a sleeve and i have an appointment for the 22nd of december to start work on it.
He was saying that you should blend it in to the design so tht it dont look like you had three tattoos and then just filled in the blanks, which made sense to me.
I'll post it after the works got underway.
Jer...you keep saying that you are not a professional...
I beg to differ...you sell yourself short buddy!
Now get on that artwork for februarys ARTJAM at the ANGEL!!!
Its a shame the artist didnt give u a few pointers. That area is prime, anything going there should be done so more can be added to it.That being said it is also small enough to be whipped into some (as mentioned above) badass dark work. You may even be able to just cover the whole thing up in the shrowd of a big reaper etc etc
With the right imagination and the proper artist your possibilities are nearly endless. that being said I gotta go finish cooking my shrimp.
The other artist, i think, was more old school and most of the designs in his portfolio were of small designs on peoples lower backs. He had a few Tattoos spread over each arm, that i could see.
The artists i have now is plastered in tattoos and has both sleeves done and god knows what else.
I like the ideas you guys are coming up with and hope to achieve what i am after with your help. Many thanks
No Problem man hope you got some good ideas and best of luck to you.
If you came into our studio I would tell you we could do anything you wanted, because you can with the right artist. Can we see links to the fellah your going to?
Hi Gabe
If i lived in the states then i would be able to pop in to your studio :-(
As i live in Scotland i guess i will go to my local studio.

its not the guy that said he couldnt not do it. this guy has some great ideas.
Hellfire, I'm not knocking your choice in artist and if you like the guys ideas then that's great. I did take a look at the site. Honestly I'm not really impressed with the work I saw. Probably cause I've been looking at all the amazing art by the guys on this site and many others. I'm not sure how big your country is or what your travelling expense account may be like but I took the Liberty of looking up some shops I"d go to before the one you've posted. Take a look if you get the chance.

These are the two I liked the most myself.
Here's a link to a site that is more locale specific , I have no idea where you're at like I said but you might find it useful.

i have seen the boneyard and i have been in contact with a few shops... none got back to me.
Scotland is a massive place (not as big as the states of course). You have to travel 200 miles to get to the Boneyard thats a 400 miles round trip.
It looks like a good studio and if i ever get down that way i will pop in. I like to support the local artist if i can as if we dont then we lose them.
lol http://www.invernesstattoocentre.co.uk i give these guys credit for opening at 10 am....Yikes.
