go see if you can find a real life model and draw them in different angles the jaw is too small and the proportion of the eye to the mouth is off

I'm really not the one that should be critiquing art. But you've got the placement of the pupil off , and its too large in your picture, the hair need's a bit of help. Hair's always been a real pain in the ass for me to draw. the original clown has a bit of a sinister type glare and alot of that look is lost in your rendition due to your eyebrow. See what i'm saying? It does look very much like the original for sure. Your shading needs work as well , like below the eye? the three little things there , two of them are supposed to be very very light. I'm not sure how you draw , rather what order you work in , but try it different ways , I prefer going light to dark myself. Gives you room to screw up.ya know get the general picture and shade the areas that are supposed to be dark just a little and do the entire picture , then keep going over and over till you get it just as dark as it needs to be , it's easier for me this way cause of less erasing. the nose could use a bit more pointiness as well , but that's my opinion , all in all pretty good job man.

critique--here...you suck...you don't know what;s up with proportion and putting the real picture next to your work, then taking a shot of ot and posting it up....god, can;t you see with your own fucking eyes. if you can't do that how the hell you going to stick a needle in someone's skin? GO TO A FUCKING ART CLASSSS. fucking tired of people who can't draw trying to break in and instead of taking classes showing people their crap....u know, an art class will help, they do group critiques and argumentative behavior usually isn;t allowed so they will help you and find ways to not make you cry about sucking a little look up PERSPECTIVE and PROPORTION IDIOT

Right about that Jer. I believe the guy posting his art is like 15 or 16. I think your works getting better and better. you just have to keep on going. and do wayyyy more drawings not just one or two a week but one or two a day if you can manage it. and the really cool thing is that your going to get better and better at drawing, meanwhile the asshole that just posted more likely than not will never be able to fix that severely damaged entity he calls his personality.

Yeah man, keep practicing. you have a ways to go, and I would also recommend classes and constant practice. Keep it up for a few more years and everytime someone says something negative, work that much harder to prove them wrong.

Its fun, you can really tell who a person is when they post anonymously, I wonder if you would get so puffed up if you had enough integrity to post under your real name and email... ATTTTTttttttttttttttt any rate , the kid asked for some critiqueing in a polite way , and he got some good some bad , and all in all , he has some opinions to think about and some advice he can choose to take or ignore , that's what he wanted afterall I believe. Keep drawing you'll get better, Like youv'e heard though art classes will not hurt one bit , there are a million things you just can't learn alone, or if you could , it'd still be much easier and quicker to have them taught to you. Learning from the knowledge that other people already have learned through trial and error or just plain luck doesn't make you a cheater, it makes you smart.

I would suggest picking up a copy of Burne Hogarth's Drawing the human head , for that matter any thing by Burne Hogarth !
