I'm really keen to get a half sleve on my upper right arm but i really don't know how to go about it! I keep seeing people with these amazing, intricate, colourful sleeves but I don't know how to go abut getting my own unique design. Should i think of things that are relevant to me and ask an artist to do the rest? Trust someone to do freehand or try to come up with my own (except i suck as an artist!). I really don't know!!!
If anyone has any suggestions or can recommend anyone i'd really appreciate it.
thanks,
Luke
Designing a sleeve

hey Luke
I suggest you come up with an idea that you would love for your entire lifetime and go see a custom artist to draw up someting for you. A half sleeve is from the elbow up to your shoulder, what you desribed , it sounded like just your shoulder, or its just me and i got confused.. Any how i would go check out a custom artist, that you like there style and go to them with yur ideas and what you want. Even thou my background is design, i still chose to have my artist design it for me since he has way more experience then i do.
what style of tattoos do u like.you got traditional, asian, tribal, realistic, new school, painterly tattoos.and just seek out an artist who specializes in that style.i like religous art,so i wen't to a catholic book store, and they had a painting of the madonna, and baby that i liked..so i bought it,and got it tattooed on my arm.just make sure u check out the artists portfolios,to see what style of work they do,and if they do clean, and solid tattoos.check out jo harrison,at www.modernbodyart.co.uk also mo,at www.thefamilybusinesstattoo.com and www.into-you.co.uk and www.newskooltattoos.com has some good artists.good luck..
