does getting a tatto on side of your neck hurts

Me and my friend went and got a lil heart on the side of our neck. She went before me and was making all kinds of faces. But I can honestly say that it didn't hurt. Then again, it's pretty small.

I got the whole left side of my neck covered by a set of angel wings and text.Didnt hurt,just a pain in the ass sitting there with ur neck cranked.

I got a amazing piece on my neck from Nathan Kostechko & Carson Hill (mostly at the same time) and I can tell ya, the neck hurts but I think if you want it...it doesnt matter. jayme

I don't know about the side exactly but up the neck near the ear or on the ear hurts, especially the tragus. And yes, having to hold your head/neck at a realtively unnatrual angle for a long time is a pain too.
