Hey guys I saw an amazing butterfly and I was thinking about getting it between the inner part of my thighs, does anyone know if that area is more painful or not?
Does it hurt between the legs

Hey Tatt,
Here we go again......... just kidding...
Man, you are braver than me. That sounds really sensitive....
It makes me clench my teeth thinking about it, and my pain
tolerance is pretty high. Yeeeessshhh!! But then you are a woman,
so maybe you'll do better than I would.
Al
yeah having a 7 pound human being explode your delicates would do that to ya
Recently underwent 4hrs of inner thigh, and it wasn't too bad. Nowhere as nasty as I'd psyched myself for. Not as comfortable as hip/outer thigh, but heaps more bearable than ribs (Man, those buggers sting!).
Or did you mean from one inner thigh to the other, incorporating the crotchal area? That's hard time, I'd imagine.
Most people think that area is very intense
Hey Daddy Rose, good to hear form you dude! I don't know if its brave behavior or me being crazy going through mid-life crisis! I am serious. I go to alot of functions and I wear a lot of dress clothing, mostly suits. I have a side to me I only want my man to see. So my tattoo is on my leg, but the the others I want, I want them to be hidden so the public cannot see. Plus some places I would put them BUT I don't want gravity to change the look of it 15 years from now.
No YoJimbo, it would be one thigh and it would be some what small. across the KOOWHAKAMANDOO IS TOOOOOO BRAVE FOR ME!
If Taz says it will hurt I believe him.
Daddy Rose do you have any tattoos? How is the upper back? That is where I will get my love tattoo... the dragon with a heart and rose. THE ONE WHO SLAYED MY LOVE...HAHAHAH
Daddy Rose I really hope all is well for ya!
Nothing personal Tatt, but I just read that whole post and I kinda had a hard time understanding a lot of it. Probably me. I'm tired, and my eyes are going buggy.
But I did get out of it that you were wondering if I had any ink? I do, it's a (nearly) half sleeve of 2 roses (symbolizing my twin daughters who both have the middle name Rose) kind of surrounded by this protective spiritual fire. Above it there is a serpent with bared fangs rising up to protect the Roses, (the Serpent being Me, it's my Chinese birth year) with some thunderheads in the backround. There is some Mandarin writing down the side which says "For my beloved Daughters".
The jist of it is that it is a symbol of my undying love for my daughters, the idea being that if you fuck with the roses, you are gonna get the fangs. I wanted my girls to have a symbol so that they will know that I will always be there to protect them.
The Chinese writing is to honor my long-standing connection with aspects of Asian culture due to about a dozen years of teaching and training in Southern Chinese Kung Fu. That and about a dozen Asian Marry-In's in the family. Just a big part of our life.
Hey Tatt! How are ya? Sure it'll sting, but by far the most painful part (for me anyway) was the strain on my aging knee ligaments due to the position I had to maintain throughout the process. I dunno if my inner thighs are at all hardened from far to many years of straddling surfboards, but I was expecting far, far more intensity. Mind you, everyone did wince noticeably when they saw what the plan was. Still, if it's the tattoo you really want, then it's the tattoo you should really get, no?
Hey Daddy Rose, read the post b/f mine and you will know I said what I did.
Your tattoo sounds so cool! I respect why you got it. Are you done with the ink?
YoJimbo, I am fine just slammed with missions I FEEL is far off. I do want the tattoo, but I want to be able to tolerate it as well.
Question for all, do you think it is ok to drink b/f getting a tattoo? You know a little pain numbing agent.
Well, by drink I am assuming you mean something alcoholic.... (right? not like.. soda, or water... right?!)... Alcohol, like ibuprofen, would thin your blood. Not sure how that would affect the tattoo process, I guess, but surely not in a positive way I am guessing:) I don't think you REALLY need anything for the pain anyways... the act of getting the tattoo, and the adrenalin etc seems to work for most people, and your body naturally numbs the pain... I have my armpit tattooed, and to be honest, it didn't hurt enough that I couldn't simply bear it.... drinking would probably be a bad choice:)
A couple of stiff Rums would be considered OK (downright mandatory should it be ITLAP Day) but I'd give the Dutch Courage a miss. If you want to kill pain, take painkillers. Again, I don't advocate the practice, but it's been done by big, beefy biker types without any sense of shame, so....
Bro don't drink, and if you take pain killers make sure they are aspirin free.
Alcohol and aspirin thins your blood as well as other substances. Talk to your artist.
Most tattoo artists hate drunkies or duggies. Something to consider.
If pain is your concern tell your artist to advise you of effective external anesthesia .
I've heard of people that say it works.
(Again, here it goes my line of numbers to make this public)
pain is the part of it, it's fun.
the pain is only temporary, its not like its unbareable.. and plus. if your paying for something to feel good, more then likly your cruisin down the wrong streets.
