I am not an artist nor do I want to be. I consider myself a fairly new collector. When I first came across this site, I thought it would be a good resource to find talented artists and learn more about the industry. Mostly all I have seen are a bunch of childish egos, worried about peoples spelling and not telling anyone too much info. I have e-mailed a few artists on this site about getting work done at some upcoming conventions. Ony one bothered to respond, and that was Joe Capobianco. He responded very quickly, and professionally and I appreciate that. I am a 45 year old man that has the means to pay for quality work. I think if some of you artists would spend less time bickering with each other and worry about your customers, you would be better off. Thanks for letting me speak my mind. Best of luck to you, but from now on I will be looking to other resources to continue my collection.
Sorry few people responded to your emails, many folks are very busy and require phone calls. Everyone should strive to be more like Joe Cap for sure. What questions did you have that wern't answered?
Hey man, I'm one of the artists that are on this website, and it sucks to hear that people did not get back to you. Gabe is right when he said that artists are busy. Sometimes it's hard for me to get back to everyone if i received a lot of emails. I know that i have missed some emails from Tattoonow because Hotmail placed them in my junk folder by accident. I hope you don't give up on this site, because it is by far the best tattoo artist resouce on the internet. Thank you Gabe! Jeff Ensminger
I have to agree with Jeff and Gabe here. Most message boards are just that, a place to shoot the shit, and get a bit of industry info. There are several posts here that people asked questions about where they could find a certain type of artist, or a particular person. And if someone in the community knew they answered. I understand that it can be very frustrating to try and contact someone, and get no response (Hell its happened to me more than once), but you really must understand that some people are quite busy. Not to mention, not every one is as computer savvy. Hell one of the best benefits of this site is the ease it offers to its members who do not have the most computer know how. But that does not make email, and the huge amount one may receive any easier to sort thru. Stay with the site, Tattoo Now has done wonders for me and my career, and put me in touch with countless good people. The larger a community get the more hassles it will incur. The drama, and bull shit are just a side effect. Some times you just need to look a little harder for the good in things. Its worth it. J.Capobianco www.joecapobianco.com
