I dont know what to do my son wants to get a tattoo and I dont know what to say. He wants to get one when he is 16, and he designed it. He has been thinkg about what one of his drawings to get and has been thinking of what one to get for about a year and a half. He is really good at drawing and wants to become a tattoo artist when he grows up. what should I say
ok its his design fair enough and it looks good ok ill give ya that witthout seeing it how about ya e mail me a copy to see exactly what he wants.the decision as far as the tattoo goes well all i can say and forgive me is just be the parent and stay with your decision.work out a deal good grades until graduation ill drop 500 bucks for ya at the shop or help pay for a apprenticeship the right way!! hope this helps (don)
jUST SAY NO!! period TIL 18...be a parent ...nO REPUTABLE artist will tattoo anyone under 18 T
As Taz said. Be a parent. Your kid is going to do lots of things over the next 2 years where a parent is going to be the best asset in his life, not the parent that wants to be the buddy. Keep in mind no reputable artist will tattoo a minor. For the sake of the safety of your child at the very least, think about this one. Its a no-brainer. Encourage him in other ways by exploring several shops together and finding the best artists and MAKING SURE they're clean and sterile (and not just saying that they're clean and sterile). Make it a 2 year project and be supportive so he doesn't run off and get one out of some jackasses apartment. Check out artists sites and make a day trip to go check out the shop. At the same time, it will expose your son to different environments of tattoo shops and he'll know what he likes in a shop and what he doesn't like at an early age.
Hey erlich you dont know me but you know my boy he has been on this forum before and he sent you some of his work before.
