dumb question about flash

6 messages · last activity 9/5/2006

so someone walks in your shop and picks off a design from your wall of flash. they seem pretty stoked on it. what do you do? make any suggestions to change the drawing a bit, or just get to work? i was wondering what are people's thoughts on flash anyway
First of all we explain that the art on the walls and in books exists only to give ideas....we always encourage clients to develop ideas from this art not copy it.
cool
i agree with taz, and the same thing goes for when a client brings in a printout of someone elses tattoo.i usually tell them i will keep the same idea, but will draw up a similar custom piece for them.
I wish the guy who did my tattoo would've given that advice, lol...but uh, I can't blame my artist for my idiocy! Witness...off the wall tattoos!!! Told you guys I got some stupid tribal for my first, lol...alas, I've learned muh lesson.
lol. you could always elaborate on/around your tribal. thanks for the input guys. i am working on my portfolio and making flash pages, just wondering what people do with it so i can get an idea where to start. i guess i was curious because i see people selling special flash pages and signature flash and it got me wondering.anywho, ah, back to work.
