OK - here are my dumb questions - please try not to make fun of me too badly.
1. I'm breastfeeding my kiddo. Is it safe to get my tat now or should I wait? I'll of course ask the doc on Monday, but I wanna know now.
2. I want to get one of the little monsters from Where the Wild Things Are - I see people with Mickey Mouse and what-have-you - those images are copyrighted - is it legal to have them tattooed on you?
I told you, dumb questions, but please help me out if you know!
Thanks

questioning is good I say . . .
I had no problem getting tattooed while I was still breatfeeding altough I would be amazed if your doctor has any real answer for this question. I waited till my daughter was not exclusivly nursing but taking some soild food as well so that if i felt unable to nurse for any reason I would not have to worry about good ol' fashion "pumping and dumping."
While being tattooed I made sure I was plenty hydrated and had a snack and about a gallon of H2O to drink.
I would ask your *trusted* tattoo artist since it is more likely that they have encountered this situation before.
My doctor is pretty cool. This is Austin and just about everyone and their dog wants to be a rockstar here so we're all tattooed and peirced. Except for me, of course. Now I just have to find a really good artist to do it. The guy who did my first tattoo was an idiot and I refuse to go back to him. How can you tell who's good and who's an a-hole?
Check out Robert Garcia. And tell him to send us his tattoo pics! Also, Jason Brooks and Chris Trevino are fantastic custom tattoo artists. Let em know we sent you and let us know how it goes!
Also, you can tattoo a copywrited image if you like. Its your body, tattoo anything on it that you like!
