first tattoo!

I want to get my first tattoo(s) this summer. I am 19 and want a tattoo to symbolize either the beginning of a journey and/or something to portray an evil side/ and a good side because I tend to switch off all the time. I was thinking about getting the eye of horus on the back of one tricep which symbolizes protection & my good side, and the wedjat eye which I believe symbolizes the evil side on the other tricep. Do you guys think this would be cool, or does it sound kinda lame?

ACTUALLY, I think this does sound pretty cool! Congratulations on your choice to join the brother/sisterhood, but consider this.... It doesn't sound nearly as cool as having the story of Horus the son of Osiris and avenger of his father's death, the story of the slayer of the evil spirit army of Set, and the first king of egypt on one arm... preferrably sleeve.... and on the other arm, preferrably sleeve, the story of SET, the jackal headed god of evil and hell who slew his own brother, chopped the body to pieces and strew the pieces throughout egypt, in his jealous quest to be king. Now that's a fucking story of good vs. evil! You better start saving some money. I think you are gonna need a custom guy. Don't waste your prime space on that teeny stuff.....

WOW. Cactus Al thats an awesome idea, i really like the idea of that but the one issue is I can't "visible" tattoos. I am looking to persue a job in the corporate world and probably will not end up getting full-sleeves, sorry to disappoint but I think that it could be a crazy backpiece..... and on my arms I would have to think about... I really like ur ideas though and am currently looking into the whole story of horus.. Thanks for the excellent input -Brandon

thanks a lot cactus AL ur words r quite inspiring. I like the idea of having that concealed dark side.... I really like your idea of horus vs. his brother for the good/evil theme on each arm... but the thought of one arm devoted completely to jackal-headed demons and hell-like circumstances i dont kno if i want to go overboard. I really do like the egyptian theme though and would like to maybe go with that im still thinking hard before i get it done because i can't even imagine getting something that doesn't really mean much to me so it winds up boring me not even a yr from when i get it... I really want something to symbolize rising up and making accomplishments despite negative influences, difficult circumstances, and i have only so many ideas about what to get... SO PPL PLEASE HELP ME and ur comments are most appreciated... especially the people who took time to post messages like cactus al, and taz.. thanks guys
