First-Time Dad Looking for Design Help

My wife and I are expecting our first baby in a few months, and I want to get a tattoo to express my love for my child as well as my desire to be a good father. We have been looking for a design for months now, and are having LOTS of trouble. I'm not really sure exactly what I am looking for, but I have a few ideas... I have a big back piece of a dragon and an angel intertwined that my wife and I designed, so I was thinking about doing something in that motif on my chest or arm. I just don't know what to do. Any help/ideas would be greatly appreciated!! Adam

Since your going to be a new dad do you know the sex of the child? The reason I ask is a dragon would be so cool for a boy and yes some girls due that i have 2 myself but what if she dont like them make do something in pink and hearts something softer for a girl.. I know this will be something that will be with you a life time so make sure its something that you and your wife and the new baby can be proud of..............one day that baby will grow up and she/he will want to show off to thier friends how cool thier dad is for the tattoo he got in thier honor................just a thought

just a suggestion , have you thought of a portrait of your child after there born, if you do would suggest waiting till there a couple months old, newborns all have a similar look, wait to your child starts to develop a little...and make sure you find a great portrait artis dont just settle for anyone , there are some amazing artist out there that can do such life like portraits,check out there portfolios,and ask many questions.

well first off congrats on the arrival and one thing actually the first thing that came to mind is the babys foot prints for the birth of the child or have the prints shadowed leading up to a dragon cradiling and looking at the baby sleeping in the arms put a pleasent face on the dragon one of joy and yet ones apperance of you had best not harm my loving child cast shadow some smoke for the surroung area best of luck to you and the family take care
