First Timer

I've decided that i want to get my first tattoo in the next few weeks. I've been thinking about it for months and finally decided to do it. I want to get three stars (not filled in) in black on the top of my foot-about an inch up from my toes. each star would be about the size of a dime. i'm not really concerned about the pain because i know it will be worth it, but i'm just trying to find out what to expect. like, what kind of pain is it? like, a scratching, second degree sunburn, piercing?? i have no idea at all. also, is there anyway to minimize the pain? and is alcohol a bad idea? i'm not talking drunk, but just a shot or something? haha well-any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks!

The best tattoo experiance is always a sober experiance.As far as pain, your not looking at much from what u said ur getting.Its hard to liken anything to the feeling of a Tattoo.I describe it as running a tac over a sun burn. more annoying than anything.
