Five days later

I got my tat dun last Sunday and now its been a complete week. My skin is slowly growing back over it, but not i all areas, is this normal? I mean they siad it sould only take five days to heal, and to continue putting on the A&D ointment. THe area around the black ink is red and i'm curious as to is this normal, or is there something wrong?

How much A&D are you using? I would quit putting it on,completely. Just let it dry out. You might scab at this point, just don't pick it. If your'e constantly putting ointment on it it can clog the skin and lead to healing problems. I've found most tattoos heal in about 2 weeks.
