frreeaked out texturized mess

i got a cover up done that my tattoo artist used a method of concentrated dots in order to give the illusion of texture to trick the eye away from what it is covering. Now it has gotten some kind of rash that has been there for 2 weeks. i am about 5 weeks into healing. Problem 1 the rash problem 2 The tattoo is now half texturized in a mess of red dots ,I really want to try to salvage this peice into smooth ness ,any blending smoothing ideas .Is it posiible to blend the dots, problem 3 How do I suggest doing this so my tattoo artist and I are on the same page,should I find someone else to salvage the remains?

I cant really give you an answer on your rash, with out seeing it it would be difficult to say anything about it, on the other hand you also asked about salvaging your piece, first question is do you trust the tattooist to work on you again? if you have any question on his abilities, then do not return, find a good custom artist that can fix it.
