The ankh is an ancient Egyptian symbol of life. Also known as an Ansata cross, it is a visual representation of a sandal strap. The horizontal and vertical bars of the lower tau cross represent the feminine and masculine energy, respectively. This combination of male and female symbols (the cross and circle) in the ankh suggest fertility and creative power. The top loop also symbolises the sun on the horizon, and suggests reincarnation and rebirth. i have looked everywhere, since i too like the symbol and am interested in the meaning. i haven't found anything on it, anywhere. good luck, and post it if you find it....

I have looked all over the web for referenced to OSYM and besides the Turkish Student Selection and Placement Center I can not find anything about it. If someone knows what it means it would be great to post it here. And lastly, for those who think that tattoo is an Ankh, it is not.

I'm wondering also. My best guess is that it's a stylized ankh, and "Ozym" is short for "Ozymandias" ("look upon my works, ye mighty, and despair.")
