I have a Doc Webb tattoo that I got in San Diego in 1968.
It is a WWI Navy poster girl. I was not drunk, and it hurt.! Doc Webb told me in a gruff voice, "do you want to look stupid [half done tattoo}...kid bite on this stick." If I remember correctly it cost $10. His shop was located on a side street off the main drag in San Diego..
